Use of “Whose”

“Whose” is used for possession.

کسی کی ملکیت کے بارے میں پوچھنے کے لیےاستعمال کرتے ہیں۔

 

Whose book have you got?

Tumhaary pass kis ki kitabain hain.

تمہارے پاس کس کی کتابیں ہیں۔

 

Whose toys are you holding?

Tum ny kis ky khilony pakry hooey hain?

تم نے کس کے کھلونے پکڑے ہوئے ہیں؟

 

Whose act is this?

Ye kis ki kartoot hai?

Use of “Whom”

“Whom” should be used to refer to the object of a verb or preposition.

 

Whom did you give my book?

Tum ny meri kitaab kis ko di?

تم نے میری کتاب کس کو دی؟

 

For whom have you brought this message?

Tum kis ky liye ye paigaam laaye ho?

تم کس کے لیے یہ پیغام لائے ہو؟

 

Who did you see yesterday?

Kal aap ny kis ko daikha?
